I was born and raised in Hawaii. I had an early interest in art that led me to train formally with Joe Feher, Wilson Stamper and Louis Pohl. Later I studied with John Hultberg and Adja Yunkers, both distinguisehed artists from the New York art scene.
My paintings have evolved over time from super-realistic single subjects to complex social comments. The purpose of my paintings is to generate multiple interpretations and provoke discussion.
in my early career as an artist I was a successful, award-winning graphic designer and illustrator. My first love has always been fine arts and painting. While on sabbatical for a year in Seattle, Washington I was able to broaden my artistic horizons. I now lives in Mililani, Hawaii painting full time in my favorite mediums of oil and acrylic.
